Digital Content and Marketing Executive

Mercaux is a B2B SaaS In-Store Platform that aims to transform traditional retail by bringing digital capabilities into physical stores and connecting offline and online channels. Founded by Harvard Business School alumni, Mercaux works with clients like Nike, Karen Millen, Under Armour, French Connection and many others, across more than 10 countries. Our platform enables retailers to transform the customer shopping experience and enable omnichannel capabilities, delivering the speed, convenience, and personalisation of online shopping into the hands of salespeople in stores.

About this role:

As we scale, we’re looking for exceptional individuals to join our hugely talented, passionate team. As our Digital Content & Marketing Executive, you’ll increase our credibility as a thought leader in the retail technology space and the focus of your role will be to deliver high quality, compelling & well researched copy across our digital channels; social media, blog and sometimes you’ll contribute to sales and marketing collateral when needed.

Your content will focus on bringing awareness of our product, increasing the number of click-throughs and traffic to our blogs.  You’ll inform prospects looking to find out about us and provide strong coverage of our platform functionalities.

We’d love to speak to you if you have a year or more of of experience in Digital Content Marketing, preferably within a small business or startup. You’ll need to have some experience in creating various types of content such as ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, blogs, not just social media posts..  It goes without saying that you’ll be proficient at using all forms of social media (both B2B and B2C, at a business level, not just personal, and ideally have significant experience at using Hubspot. You must absolutely relish the thought of working in a small, high-energy business related to fashion and retail! 

We are looking for someone who has ambitions to grow with us as we expand globally.  This will be a demanding but rewarding role in a fast-paced environment, with opportunity to learn quickly.

Additional Responsibilities:

You’ll also:

  • Produce engaging copy to promote events and awards & produce infographics and whitepapers.
  • Co-develop and deliver our digital content strategy.
  • Manage and update our social media channels with company news and industry updates.
  • Develop product focused content for our Resources Academy and blog.
  • Draft inspiring customer success stories  and case studies.
  • Update our sales pitch decks for scheduled meetings with retailers.
  • Draft release notes for product updates and regular releases.
  • Constantly research current and emerging retail tech trends, and utilise this information in the production of thought leadership content.

More About You:

As well as your experience, either within internships, voluntary or full-time Content Marketing roles, you’ll:

  • Have superb communication/copywriting skills.  You’ll quickly and sensitively understand - and convey -  Mercaux tone of voice across all digital content.
  • Display a strong understanding of how fashion and technology intersect in a business sense
  • Be able to grasp complex technical concepts quickly & make them easily understandable in text and images
  • Show us a passion to help facilitate Mercaux become a thought leader in our sector. You’ll LOVE creating creative & vibrant content to increase brand awareness,  testing our processes & workflows to gain results.
  • Have strong organisational skills - you’ll be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Constantly look for ways to challenge yourself and improve your output to grow your knowledge and experience. You’ll be naturally curious, proactive and display a strong commercial awareness.
  • Be a consummate team player. We’re a startup and we expect you to work collaboratively and transparently at all times. Sometimes you’ll have to conduct tasks that will be outside of your daily remit to help us meet our targets and deadlines.
